Jean L. Stoll, loan officer

Jean L. Stoll, 85, of Bethlehem, died July 15, 2018, while in the care of the St. Luke’s Hospice House. She was the wife of the late James L. Stoll and the companion of Arthur Piatt of Bethlehem.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late James W. and Margaretta (Purcell) Cope.

She was a 1951 graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School.

She w as a loan officer at First Star Savings Bank for 18 years before she retired in 1995. Previously, She had worked previously at Bethlehem Steel Corporation.

She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church.

She was a member of the American Business Women Association and was their 1999 Woman of the Year. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church Prime Time Seniors, the St. Bernard’s Ladies Auxiliary and the Fountain Hill Golden Hillers. She volunteered at the Cancer Boutique, Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Organization and St. Luke’s Hospital.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen L. and her husband Gary Assetto of Allentown and Lorie J. and her husband Lloyd Cressman of Bethlehem; two sons, James L. Jr. and his wife Merrisa of Bethlehem Township and Thomas R. and his wife Cindy of Allentown; three grandchildren, Ryan M. Cressman, Karla A. Cressman and Tyler M. Stoll; and a sister, Lucille Miller of Ormond Beach, Fla.
