AAUW presents scholarships
American Association of University Women-Bethlehem announced the awarding of $26,000 in 2018 Book Sale Scholarships to 19 graduating high school seniors and three women returning to college following an interruption to their education. The AAUW branch also announced a special award funded in perpetuity by the Senior Women’s Club of Bethlehem, an organization that is now dissolved.
The Senior Women’s Club of Bethlehem Scholarship went to Linda Adodoadji of Freedom HS who will attend the University of Pittsburgh.
Book Fair Scholarships went to the following high school graduates.

From Liberty: Nessa Cartagena (Kutztown University); Teagan Cobb (Gettysburg College); Gabrielle Harvilla (University of Delaware); Lucy Kitch-Peck (Massachusetts Institute of Technology); Katherine Luther (Lehigh University); Eleni Prodes (Penn State University); Esther Rhee (University of Pittsburgh); Aivlys Roque-Alicea (NCC/Lehigh University); Alison Sahaydak (Duke University); Sarafina Schultheis (Penn State University); and Anna Wescoe (Temple University).
Non-Traditional Awards were presented to Carley Blanchard (DeSales University), Ester Henderson (DeSales University) and Sydjea Linton (Cedar Crest College).
