Bruce William Bodnyk, 65, of Harrisburg, died July 5, 2018, at his residence.

Born in Ft. Bragg, N.C., he was a son of the late Metro and Dorothy (Shankweiler) Bodnyk.

He was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University.

He was in the U.S. Air Force.

He was a software consultant first for AMP and recently for 3 Hti, where he taught CAD classes and worked with 3D printers.

He was a member of Chambers Hill United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir and volunteered with the Grace Church Helping Hands Ministry.

He was a member of American Legion Post 998.

He is survived by three children, Johanna, Catherine and Lucas Bodnyk; a friend, Deborah Battisti and partner Mary Jane Wertz; a brother, Michael and his wife Sandra Bodnyk; three sisters, Ann and her husband David Dare, Dorothy Wesley and Elizabeth and her husband James Shrawder; and nephews.
