Phyllis S. Roman

Phyllis S. Roman, 80, of Egypt, died June 26, 2018, in her home. She was the wife of Stephen A. Roman for 60 years.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Kish) Piervallo.

She was a 1955 graduate of Whitehall High School.

She was employed previously by Household Finance, Allentown, as a comptometer operator and, later, at Rost Industries, Northampton.

She was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church, North Catasauqua, and the church choir. She sang in Holy Trinity’s parish choir, Whitehall, as well.

She was a member of the North Catasauqua WE SING Community Chorus, a ladies auxiliary, Pennsylvania Ladies Jednota, Slovak Catholic Sokol and the First Catholic Slovak Union.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Anna Marie and her husband Jim Sullivan of Allentown, Phyllis Ann and her husband Barry R. Beitler of Whitehall and Celeste and her husband Todd G. Sipos of Palmyra; five sons, Stephen A. III and his wife Christine and Dominic and Lori, all of Northampton, Christopher and Christina of North Catasauqua, Theodore and Kathy of Whitehall and Nicholas and his wife Janette of Schnecksville; 16 grandchildren, Alexis, Barry, Tristan, PhylliciaAnn, Brandon, Justin, Nathaniel, Andrew, Alexander, Benjamin, Dominic Jr., Aiden, Michael, Adam, Emily and Alyssa; a great-grandson, Asher; a brother, Eugene and his wife Diane of Bethlehem; nieces; and nephews.

Contributions may be made to the church memorial fund or to St. Luke’s VNA Hospice, 2455 Black River Road, Bethlehem, 18015.

Arrangements were made by Schisler Funeral Home Inc., Northampton.
