Bath: Scavenger hunt set for July 9
The women’s group of Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will be having a scavenger hunt 7 p.m. July 9.
Come to the meeting, and join the hunt!
The women’s group will be on vacation for the month of August.

Governor Wolf Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting 7 p.m. July 10 on the GWHS campus, 6600 Jacksonville Road. The public is welcome.

The next Bath Borough Council meeting will be 6 p.m. July 11 at the newly renovated borough hall, 121 S. Walnut St.
An open house for the community is planned for 3-6 p.m. Aug. 6, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony 6 p.m.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 210 E. Northampton St., will be holding its 88th annual parish picnic July 13-15.
The rock tribute group Still Kick’n will perform 6:30-10:30 p.m. July 13; the popular doo-wop/oldies group Desire will be 6:30-10:30 p.m. July 14; and the country western group Crazy Hearts will take the stage 5-9 p.m. July 15.

Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, will be having a fireman’s breakfast 8 a.m.-noon July 15.
The menu consists of eggs, omelet toppings, pancakes, French toast, home fries, ham, sausage, bacon, scrapple, creamed dried beef, toast, beverage and fruit cocktail.
There is a cost. Anyone showing a valid emergency ID receives a discount.

During the month of July, Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church will collect for Bath Area Food Bank.
The food bank is no longer accepting Jell-O or pudding. Grocery gift cards (preferably Ahart’s) are needed for emergencies.
Please drop off all gift cards in an envelope marked “food bank” on the church secretary’s desk.
