Two explosives found in Main Street apartment

Northampton

Around 8:15 p.m. June 25, Northampton Borough Police Department responded to a call of two people trespassing in an apartment at 1854 Main St., Northampton. Police Chief Bryan Kadingo said the call came from a neighbor.

According to Kadingo, when officers arrived at the apartment, one of the persons had drug paraphernalia visible.

A search was then conducted, and two small explosives were found, the chief said.

The devices were handed over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Kadingo said this is an ongoing investigation with both Northampton police and the FBI.

Bethlehem Fire Department’s bomb squad also responded to the scene.
