James D. Johnson Jr., 26, of Deerfield Beach, Fla., died June 21, 2018.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of James and Gloria Johnson.
He attended Whitehall High School and West Chester University.
He was an artist and musician who played at street fairs, coffee shops and in friends’ basements. He was a reader who escaped into the realms of Game of Thrones, Dungeons and Dragons, Star Wars and Harry Potter.
He enjoyed nature and hiking the local trails and found pleasure in being surrounded by family and a fiercely loyal group of friends. He was a truly unique soul.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Rob and his wife Jenna and Kyle and Paige; a sister, Susan and her husband Alex Miller and Luke and Landon; a grandmother, Patricia Maggitti; aunts, uncles; and cousins.
He was predeceased by grandparents, Victor and Doris Johnson and Deacon Alexander Maggitti Sr.
There will be a visitation 9 a.m., followed by services 11 a.m., both June 30 at the funeral home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall.
