Carolyn Ruth Schleicher, 84, of Catasauqua, died June 8, 2018, at the Lehigh Valley Hospice Center. She was the wife of Lee P. Schleicher for 64 years.

Born in Schnecksville, she was a daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Addie Elmira (Buss) Snyder.

She was a 1951 graduate of Parkland High School.

In her early years, she worked for H. Leh and Company, Allentown.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Catasauqua, and was a former teacher in the church day care center, was on the church council and was on the Altar Guild and in the prayer chain.

She was a former Girl Scout leader. She was a member of the Lady Lillie Best Rebekah Lodge No. 222, Schnecksville, and of the Coplay Saengerbund. She was a life member of the Lehigh Valley Beekeepers Association and a former member of the Young at Heart Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen A. and her husband John Patton of Glenside and Carol L. and her husband Perry Good of Lititz; a son, David P. and his wife Laurie Oakman Schleicher of Sykesville, Md.; three grandsons, Joshua, Brenden and Dawson Good; a sister-in-law, Marion Snyder of Schnecksville; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Louise Lessel of Whitehall; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Rebecca A. Brown; a sister, LaVerne M. Snyder; and two brothers, Clifford and Rolland Snyder.
