Dr. Patricia “Trish” Marie Campbell, Ed.D., 61, of Bethlehem, died on June 18, 2018, while in the care of the St. Luke’s Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township. Born in Baltimore, Md., she was a daughter of the late Albert Meyd and Joannette (DePaola) Meyd of Bethlehem. She was the wife of Richard L. Campbell, Esq., for 37 years.
She graduated from Freedom High School; attended the University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown; and earned a Master’s degree in Education at Lehigh University and a Doctorate in Education at Nova Southeastern University.
She was a reading specialist at Freemansburg Elementary School and later was a principal at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in the Bethlehem Area School District, from which she had recently retired. She then worked as a literacy consultant.
She was a member of Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a son, Richard “Chip” L. Jr., Esq., and his wife Isabella, and a daughter, Jacqueline “Jackie” M., all of Bethlehem; and a sister, Nancy and her husband Mark Schnader of Nazareth.
