Mary Janitz, 96, of Northampton, died June 15, 2018, at home. She was the wife of the late John “Slim” F. Janitz.

Born in Ormrod, she was a daughter of the late John and Suzana (Csernak) Novak.

She worked at various mills over the years and retired as a presser at the former Sportett Fashions.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Bath.

She is survived by a son, John A. and his wife Alfreda of Northville, Mich.; a daughter, Monica and her husband Joseph Groller of Northampton; four grandchildren, John, Judy, Joseph and Nicole; seven great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Hanna, Emma, Waylon, Joseph, Kylie and John; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Susan Payonk; and two brothers, Andrew and John Novak.
