Alfred Gelber, 88, of Bensalem, died June 14, 2018, in his home. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late David and Frieda Gelber. He was the husband of Joan (Shapiro) Gelber for 58 years.
He was self-employed, for most of his life, in sales of various types throughout the Bucks County, Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia areas.
He was of the Jewish faith and last attended the former Congregation Bnai Brith, Philadelphia.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lisa and her husband John Howard Jr., and a son, Stuart and his wife Michele, all of Bensalem; a brother, Jack and his wife Marlene Gelber of Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Johnny III and his wife Nicole Howard, Corey Howard and Tyler Gelber; and a great-granddaughter, Destiny Howard.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Pearl and Reba Gelber; and two brothers, Morris Gelber and Abe Gelber.
