George D. Seyfried, 86, of North Catasauqua, died May 25, 2018, at his home. He was the husband of the late MaryAnn (Motsko) Seyfried.
Born in West Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Paul G.D. Seyfried and the late Catherine C. (Schwindenhammer) Seyfried.
He was an U.S. Army private during the Korean War.
He was a production line forklift operator for five years for the former Durkee Foods, Bethlehem, until he retired in 1996. From 1973-83, he worked in assembly and shipping for the Fuller Company, Catasauqua. From 1956-73, was a driver and salesman for the former Lehigh Valley Dairy, Allentown.
He attended Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hokendauqua.
He was a member of Egypt Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293.
He is survived by three sisters, Leona Groman of North Catasauqua, Catherine Bogarosh of Schnecksville and Agnes Bodnar of Northampton; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Seyfried.
There will be a calling hour 10-11 a.m., followed by services 11 a.m., both May 31 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067. Interment with military honors will follow at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church’s cemetery, North Catasauqua.
Contributions may be made to the church’s memorial fund, c/o the funeral home.
