Parkland students lined up at the high school starting around 11:30 p.m. May 12 following the 2018 Prom at Bethlehem’s SteelStacks.

Post prom events and activities, at the high school, were geared by the Post Prom Committee to hold their interest until 5:30 a.m. the next morning.

Some of the activities included a karaoke sound station set up in the driver room, and Tapsnap in the library conference room.

From 11:30 p.m. until 3 a.m., prom-goers could visit temporary tattoo artists, have a caricature drawn of themselves or receive a massage, if the evening of dancing taxed their muscles.

There was laser tag in the wrestling room and music provided in the cafeteria.

A favorite of prom-goers in previous years is the money cube, also set up in the cafeteria.

Students could go into the cube and grab as much money as they could while the bills swirled around them.

The main hallway featured a variety of carnival games and there was a coffee house set up in the rotunda.

For the daring, and still not too tired, there was an adrenaline rush obstacle course, gladiator wars, a bungee run and more in the auxiliary gym.

From 1:45 a.m. to 2:45 a.m. magic was the theme as a roaming magician performed feats of legerdemain throughout the school.

Hypnotist Steve Taubman performed an interactive show in the auditorium for the next two hours to the students’ amazement.

As the early morning hours arrived, students eagerly awaited the prize drawings which took place in the auditorium.

Alex Hill was the lucky winner of $1,000 and Kylee Polash took home $1,500.

And, the $2,500 grand prize winner was Akeem Mohammed.
