Michael Smicker Jr., 86, of Coplay, died May 14, 2018, at his home. He was the husband of the late Marilyn J. (Olenwine) Smicker.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Michael Sr. and Mary (Marhon) Smicker.

He was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He was a foreman for Gardner Cryogenics, Allentown, for many years before he retired.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Coplay.

He was a member of Coplay American Legion Post 426.

He is survived by a son, Glenn and his wife Marci; three daughters, Michele and her husband Carl Schmall, Mary Ellen and husband Mike Dobish and Monica and her husband John Pavolko; nine grandchildren, Adriane, Michael, Anthony, Kyle, Amy, Ryan, Rachel, Samantha and Savanna; eight great-grandchildren, Andrew, Alexander, Mason, Bella, Kiera, Annalia, Ethan and Saige; three brothers, Eugene, Ronald and his wife Monica and Dennis and wife Loretta; four sisters, Dorothy and her husband Fred Scott, Lorraine and her husband Joseph Chivinsky, Marie Mertz and Elaine and her husband Carl Simcoe; nieces; and nephews.
