Stanley W. Reinhard American Legion Post 426 will hold its annual Memorial Day program May 27.
The day will begin with a 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St.
The legion contingent and auxiliary will then meet at the post home, 134 S. Second St., for a service and wreath-laying ceremony at Coplay Saengerbund’s veterans war monument, 205 S. Fifth St.
The program then moves to the St. Peter cemetery on Hokendauqua Street, followed by the St. John Baptist cemetery, 3024 S. Ruch St., and the Stiles veterans war memorial.
They will then move to Coplay cemetery on Ruch Street and gather at the borough war veterans monument, Chestnut and Maple streets.
The day will conclude 1:30 p.m. with a program in front of the Post 426 home.
The tossing of the wreath into the Lehigh River, honoring those service personnel who died at sea, will resume on completion of the new Coplay-Northampton Bridge, which is currently under construction.

Coplay Public Library will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday, May 26 and 28. It will resume regular hours May 29.

Coplay Garden Club meets 7 p.m. May 31 in the social hall of St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St.
