Carl Clayton Reimer, 94, of Allentown and formerly of Bath, died May 13, 2018, at his home in the Luther Crest campus. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Miltenberger Reimer for 68 years.
Born in Bath, he was a son of the late Clayton S. and Mabel A. (Landes) Reimer.
He graduated from Northampton High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Muhlenberg College. He then earned a doctoral degree from Syracuse University.
He worked as a manufacturing manager of synthetic fibers for 31 years with the DuPont Company.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Kreidersville.
He was in the U.S. Army with the 84th Infantry Division during World War II. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and received the Bronze Star for bravery in action.
He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Claire, M.D., and her husband William Hines of Russellville, Ark. and Donna Lynn Robinson of Strasburg, Va.; a son, Jeffrey Carl and his wife Jody of Zionsville, Ind.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by five brothers.
