Tiger compete in Day 2 of league T&F championship

The second day of last week’s Colonial League track and field championships might not have been quite as successful as the first day, but the Tigers still had several big performances and came away with some hardware last Wednesday at Whitehall High School.

Alyssa Zack returned to the medal stand for the second day in a row to accept her fourth-place medal for the 800-meter run.

Jordan Lowthert captured fourth place in the triple jump and Maddie Consuelos (1600), Lauren Schellhamer (400), and the girls 1600-meter relay team all finished fifth in their events, one place away from earning a medal.

Consuelos and Zack were both part of the Tigers’ league champion 3200-meter relay team last Tuesday.

The track and field teams will be back in action this week as the District 11 Championships were slated for Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, but storms caused postponement of the meet to Wednesday and Thursday.
