Lehigh Township Historical Society is holding a barbecue take-out dinner 1-4:30 p.m. May 19 at the Historical Centre, 3811 Lehigh Drive. Dinners include roasted chicken or pulled pork and baked potato, coleslaw, roll and dessert.

Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville, has announced that registration for Vacation Bible School is now open online.

VBS runs July 9-13 and is offered to children from age 3 to children completing sixth grade in June 2018. All children must be potty trained.

The theme this year is “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus.”

Classes will be held 9 a.m.-noon, with a closing program 7 p.m. July 13

Reservations can be made by registering at vbs.hopecherryville.org or by completing a registration form obtained from the church office.

A T-shirt is provided for each student registered by June 17.
