EASTERN SALISBURY COLUMN
This spring seems to have flown by, maybe because Mother Nature wasn’t sure what she was doing.
We have officially passed the mid-marking period of the fourth quarter and if your students are like mine, the official countdown to the last day of school has begun.
Harry S Truman Elementary School will host the annual spring concert 9:30 a.m. May 17. The third grade students will perform with their recorders they have worked so hard to learn and the fourth and fifth grade chorus will perform. Hope you can make this performance.
The next curriculum and technology meeting will be held in the administration building 7 p.m. May 21.
Students in the HST and Western Salisbury Elementary School band will perform in a concert 7 p.m. May 22 at HST.
The next T-shirt day at HST will be May 24.
All Salisbury Township schools will be closed May 25 for a professional development day. Schools will remain closed May 28 in observation of Memorial Day.
Looking forward, the HST annual Ice Cream Festival will be held noon to 4 p.m. June 2. Come out for an afternoon of fun before the end of school.
The seventh annual Salisbury Football Golf Tournament will be held June 2 at the Allentown Municipal Golf Course beginning with registration 7 a.m. and shotgun start 8 a.m. For registration and sponsorship information, contact Andrew Cerco at acerco@salisburysd.org or Leno Scarcia at lscarcia@verizon.net.
The Franko Farm yard waste drop-off site will be open 3 to 6 p.m. May 17 and 21 as well as 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 22 and 26.
