ArtsQuest held its second annual Southside Arts & Music Festival presented by Capital BLUE April 20 and 21, featuring live music, visual arts and family programming. There were approximately 10 wristband shows per day at multiple locations such as Godfrey Daniels, National Museum of Industrial History, Lehigh Valley Charter HS for the Arts, Banana Factory and Musikfest Café at Steelstacks. The headline performers were 2018 Grammy winners The Infamous Stringdusters, Delta Rae and Dar Williams. There were 10 other free musical acts at locations such as Color Me Mine, Domaci, Molly’s Irish Grille & Sports Pub and Sotto Santi. The festival also featured art programs such as interactive art projects for kids and adults held at the Banana Factory, Southside Collaborative Community Animation Blast, which allowed festival attendees to create short animation films, and many others. Additionally, The Redball Project, which is a large red ball that has been on display at more 25 cities worldwide, made an appearance.
The Infamous Stringduster's upright bass player Travis Book is singing the song “Gravity” from their 2018 Grammy winning album “Laws of Gravity.”
