Paul J. Oswald, 72, of Whitehall, died May 4, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hospice-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Janice L. (Neetz) Oswald for 52 years.

Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Paul J. and Agnes (Schelly) Oswald.

He was a track man for the former PBNE Railroad and also the Labor Union 1174, Allentown.

He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union, Bethlehem.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Ronald D. and his wife Julia of Whitehall, Brian P. and his wife Cathii of Breinigsville and David S. of Whitehall; a brother, Henry and his wife Donna of Whitehall; five sisters, Janet Newhard of Schnecksville, Myrtle Scholl of Emmaus, Doris and her husband Frank Graberitz of Allentown, Hattie Stewart of Harker Heights, Texas, and Tina Melniszyn of Catasauqua; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by four brothers, Richard, Martin, James and Martin; and a sister, Anna Oswald.
