Bath: Spring festival set for May 12

Greater Bath Area Chamber of Commerce and East Allen Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps will hold a spring festival 8 a.m.-3 p.m. May 12 on the ambulance corps grounds, 4945 Nor-Bath Blvd.

Petersville Rod & Gun Club, 550 Gun Club Road, will be holding a spring fling dinner and dance May 12.

Doors open 5:30 p.m.

Dinner will be held 6-7 p.m., followed by the dance 7-11 p.m.

Included in the price is hamburger or turkey barbecue, macaroni or potato salad, chips and pretzels as well as dessert. Beverages include beer, soda, water, coffee and hot tea.

Tickets are available in advance or at the door.

Bath Farmers Market will open for the season May 18.

Kicking off its 11th year, the market will offer produce, meats and dairy, as well as baked goods and packaged items, such as soaps, peanut butter and honey. You can also take home a hot meal from Estelle’s Catering of Nazareth.

New vendors this year include Faber Distilling Co. of Quakertown and Banter’s Hard Cider of Stroudsburg. Once a month, you will find beer from Easton’s Weyerbacher Brewing.

The market will host themed events throughout the season, including the annual Bath duck race. It will hold a kids’ day on the last Friday of each month and a monthly movie night.

The market will be open 3-7 p.m. through Sept. 28 at Keystone Park, Route 329 and Green Street.

The Governor Wolf Historical Society Museum, 6600 Jacksonville Road, will be open to the public 1-3 p.m. May 19. Tours of the society’s campus will be offered.

Please note, the Bath Museum will be closed until further notice.

On May 19, the “Bikes in Bath” bike festival will take place 1-7 p.m. on Allen Street. Join in on all the activities, which include a bike show, vendors, beer tent and live music on stage all day.

Bath Social Hall, 135 S. Walnut St., will be holding a bingo bash May 20.

Doors open 11 a.m., and bingo starts 2 p.m.

Only 175 tickets will be sold. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent.
