Side-by-Side: The annual “Side-by-Side Concert” is 7 p.m. May 6, Miller Symphony Hall, Allentown. Student musicians from area high schools play side-by-side with members of The Allentown Band. Guest conductor is Dr. Virginia Allen. Guest soloist is Carol Jantsch, above, playing the tuba. Jantsch is Principal Tuba with the Philadelphia Orchestra. Dad dudes: The Piano Guys, four dads who became an Internet sensation with their successful self-made music videos, return at 7:30 p.m. May 5 to the State Theatre Center for the Arts. The concert includes guest appearances by the Easton High School Strings and the Liberty High School Pipers. The Piano Guys have made more than 65 music videos since early 2011, including their multi-handed version of One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful” and the hit song, “Let It Go,” from Disney’s “Frozen.” The group’s videos have more than 1.2 billion views on YouTube. At their concert at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, YouTube honored the group with a plaque commemorating the achievement. According to YouTube, about 100 artist channels have reached the 1-billion view mark.
