It’s official – Pennsylvania System of School Assessment tests have come and gone – and that can only mean one thing. The end of the school year is quickly approaching!
May 3 marks the middle of the fourth quarter for the middle and high school students.
On May 7, Harry S Truman Elementary School students will have a pajama, popcorn and movie day to celebrate the completion of the PSSAs. Grade levels will take turns enjoying popcorn and a movie in the gym; students should make sure to wear comfortable pajamas!
The next HST PTO meeting will be 7 p.m. May 7.
The next operations committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. May 7 in the administration building.
Salisbury High School will hold its annual spring choral and instrumental concert 7 p.m. May 8.
May 9 will be the annual HST field day for students in grades kindergarten through second, weather permitting. If needed, the rain date will be May 15.
May 9 is also the annual Salisbury Township School District Art Show at SHS, 5 to 8 p.m. All students in the district will have artwork on display. A live pottery wheel demonstration will occur between 5:30 and 7 p.m.
The next school board meeting will be held 7:30 p.m. May 9 at SHS.
The next T-shirt day at HST will be held May 10.
On May 11, both HST and Western Salisbury Elementary schools will dismiss 1 p.m. If dismissal plans change, please notify your child’s school.
On May 16, HST will hold field day for students in grades three to five. Should a rain date be needed, field day will be held May 22.
A curriculum and technology committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. May 21 in the administration building.
Looking forward, all Salisbury Township School District buildings will be closed May 25 to 28. Schools will re-open May 29.
The Franko Farm yard waste drop-off site will be open 3 to 6 p.m. May 3 and 7 as well as 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 8 and 12.
