Hokendauqua: Craft fair is May 5

Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, will hold a craft fair 9 a.m.-3 p.m. May 5. There will be more than 100 tables of crafts and quilted items.

There will also be plants and flowers, a Chinese auction, homemade baked goods and refreshments.

There will be a Miller-Keystone Blood Center blood drive at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church 4-7 p.m. May 14.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, Mickleys, 2918 MacArthur Road, will host a Memorial Day worship service 9:30 a.m. May 27. Also participating in the event are both Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church and Hokendauqua American Legion members.

Weather permitting, the service will be held in front of the maintenance building at the east end of St. John’s Cemetery along Eberhart Road. If the weather is inclement, the service will be inside the church.

Faith’s Sunday school youth will be singing during the service, as well as placing flowers on the graves of veterans. The American Legion Color Guard will “honor the dead.” The speaker for the program will be Lehigh County Executive Phillips Armstrong.

Looking ahead, Vacation Bible School at Faith starts July 23 and continues until July 27, with a closing program July 29.

The theme this year is “Shipwrecked.”
