LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Whitehall library: SPARK up and running at Whitehall Township Public Library

Our new online public catalog is all set up and working. Please change the settings on your computer or device to our new OPAC link, whitehall.sparkpa.org/eg/opac/home. It will let you search our online catalog, website and resources available to patrons with a current Whitehall library card.

We would like to thank our patrons for their patience during the changeover to SPARK this month.

Whitehall is the first to join the Lehigh Carbon Library Cooperative, which will also include Catasauqua, Coplay, Dimmick, Emmaus, Lehighton, Lower Macungie, Palmerton, Parkland, Slatington and Southern Lehigh.

Stop by our annual indoor yard sale 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. April 27 or 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. April 28 in the community room.

Not only can you find some deals, but you can also support the library by shopping. We have dishes, vases, books, Christmas items, Crock-Pot supplies, collectibles and more.

We will have a $5-per-bag sale noon-2 p.m. April 28, so bring your bags!

We have a Creation Station Club for children of all ages 6:30-7:30 p.m. the first Tuesday of the month. The next dates are May 1 and June 5.

Building and construction teaches problem-solving skills through play and how to connect socially with other children.

Do you want an easy way to help someone in need? This year, Lehigh Valley Business Group, lvbg.org, is running a sock drive with the goal of collecting and distributing 5,000 or more pairs of socks to the people who need them.

Whitehall Township Public Library will be acting as one of the collection centers. You can bring in clean, new socks of any size, style or color. We will collect socks through June 28.
