The senior class is selling tickets for this year’s Salisbury High School prom. Tickets are available to all juniors and seniors and their guests. This year’s prom is scheduled 6 p.m. May 19 at DeSales University, Center Valley.

SHS also has a “Prom Boutique” for students who need a prom dress or suit free of charge. Dresses and suits are available in a variety of styles and sizes. For more information, contact your guidance counselor or Mrs. Legath (rlegath@salisburysd.org).

The Sunday Funday event for the Race For Adam Foundation April 29 has been canceled due to the lack of interest in participation. Thank you to all who signed up and provided donations.

Emmaus High School will host a college fair 6 to 8 p.m. May 2. Representatives from colleges, technical schools, the military and post-secondary institutions will be in attendance. The fair will be in the EHS gym and is open to all students.

Finally, Peyton Stauffer is holding a care package drive for her challenge based learning project. This is a year long project created to help the school, community or world in some way.

The goal of the care package drive is to collect items to send to those serving in the U.S. military overseas to thank them on Memorial Day. Donations include written letters to the troops, hand sanitizer, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, cotton socks, decks of cards, sunscreen, lip balms and cough drops.

All donations should be dropped off in Ms. Miller’s room by April 29.

Finally, Keystone testing will begin May 14 and will continue through May 22. There will be no scheduled test May 20. All students who are taking the algebra, literature or biology Keystone exam should report to school 7:35 a.m. on their testing day. Any student who is not taking a test can come in on a two-hour delay schedule.
