Louis John Horwath, electrical designer

Louis John Horwath, 67, of Bethlehem, died April 22, 2018. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Louis James Horwath and Anna (Schultz) Horwath. He was the husband of Deborah L. (Barron) Horwath

for 46 years.

He was a 1968 graduate of Liberty High School. He earned, in 1970, an associate degree in electrical engineering from Penn State University.

He was in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was an electrical designer for 34 years for Mack Trucks, U.A.W. Local 677, from which he retired in 2006.

He was a member of the West Side Republican Club and the Rosemont Fire Company. He was an Eagle Scout.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer and her husband David; a son, Daniel and his wife Cheryl; a sister, Anna and her husband James Vargo; a brother, Stephen and his wife Roberta Farkas; four grandchildren, Tyler and Tanner Kuder and Danica and Dylan Horwath; nieces; and nephews.
