William Dreisbach has been approved as the new athletic director for the Parkland School District.
He replaces Jeffrey Geisel who will retire in June after 30 years of service to the district.
Dreisbach has served as the Parkland assistant boys basketball coach for the past 11 years.
He has a 32-year career as a teacher in the North Schuylkill and Upper Perkiomen school districts.
His experience includes positions as director of athletics, physical education teacher, and head basketball coach.
Superintendent Richard Sniscak commented on Dreisbach’s appointment.
“Bill’s desire to positively lead our athletic department and continue the outstanding work and level of excellence that Parkland is known for in the athletic realm, was apparent throughout his interviews,” Sniscak said. “He is someone who has an outstanding reputation in the Lehigh Valley for his strong character and ability to build positive rapport with others.
“It is with enthusiasm that I congratulate him and welcome him to Parkland as part of our administrative team.”
Dreisbach’s annual salary will be $102,000.
