Oh my goodness, don’t get me started,

Our politicians are greatly divided!

Republicans, Democrats, it doesn’t matter,

Whatever is suggested gets torn and tattered.

It seems they lost all their direction.

They forgot the American people

Who voted for them, with affection.

They were chosen to serve this nation,

With, dignity, backbone, and pride.

But, whenever the going gets tough,

They go on vacation and hide.

Every time something needs to be done,

It becomes an imposition;

Seems nobody ever wants to give in

To the other person’s position.

Instead of doing what’s best for the people,

They do what’s best for their party.

Sometimes their antics are so immature,

They act like Laurel and Hardy.

They were put into office to make things better;

They should follow the rules of our

Constitution to the letter!

They want to be re-elected, of course,

But that could make matters worse.

Let’s adopt new term limits for everyone,

So this country will no longer mourn;

America will flourish, and gain respect

And this nation will be reborn.
