Kathleen L. Mitchell, 59, of Catasauqua, died April 9, 2018, at ManorCare, Bethlehem. She was the companion of Mel Fritz for many years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Harry D. and Alice B. (Steitz) Snyder.

She earned an associate degree in nursing at Lehigh Carbon Community College.

She was a nurse at various locations for many years before staying home to raise her children.

She is survived by three sons, Zakary, Luke and Christian; two daughters, Abigail and Kelly and her husband Jason Freeman; four sisters, Linda Becker, Cindy Snyder Daniels, Sandra and her husband Dennis Dredge and Susan and her husband Timothy Unangst; a granddaughter, Lydia; nieces; and nephews.
