Storytime and crafts with Miss Veronica will be 11 a.m. April 19 and 26 and May 3. All ages are welcome to attend, and no preregistration is necessary.

April’s free movie Saturday is April 21. Our 1 p.m. feature will be Disney’s “The Three Lives of Thomasina,” followed by “Victory,” starring Michael Caine and Sylvester Stallone, 2:30 p.m.

These events are open to everyone.

The library will be joining the SPARK library system June 28. In order to train staff and make sure all records are ready for transfer, we will need to close at certain times.

The library will be closed 1-3 p.m. May 9 and all day May 15 for staff training. The library will be open noon-7 p.m. May 17. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

The system will eventually include 10 other libraries in Lehigh and Carbon counties.

Our spring basket social is almost here! Join us at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church chicken dinner 4-7 p.m. May 19.

We will have a wide variety of baskets, which will be on display at the library May 4-19. Tickets will be on sale at the library.

If you are interested in making a basket or bringing items in for a basket, we would welcome any donations.

Members of Cetronia Ambulance Corps will be at the library May 23 for a free blood pressure screening.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our spring book/bake sale. We greatly appreciate the volunteers and community members who graciously gave their baked goods and time to help the library.

We accept donations for our book sales year-round, but we can no longer accept VHS tapes, textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest condensed books or any materials that are torn, dirty or damaged by mildew or smoke.

For your safety, we ask that you drop your donations off anytime during library hours, which are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
