Claire Rose Rantz, 84, of Renaissance Home, Northampton, died April 9, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late Donald E. Rantz.
Born in Hazleton, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Alice (McGinley) McGeehin.
She was a registered nurse for over 50 years at Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York City; various medical facilities in the Lehigh Valley; and Luther Crest, from which she retired.
She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church, Orefield.
She survived by a son, William F. and his wife Doreen of Upper Macungie Township; a daughter, Judy R. and her husband Chris Wasko of Leesburg, Va.; five grandchildren, Joshua and his wife Sarah Wasko, Jacob and Anna Claire Wasko and Marlee and Matthew Rantz; a brother-in-law, Ashbel G. Gulliver; nieces; and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Frank, Tommy and Larry McGeehin; a sister, Mary Ann Klerx; and a twin sister, Alice Gulliver.
