Catasauqua: WHS Chorale to perform at Salem UCC
Whitehall High School Chorale will perform a concert at Salem United Church of Christ, 615 Third St., 7 p.m. April 21.
This elite, auditioned ensemble consists of 13 high school singers under the direction of Mr. Eddie Hong.
The group performs advanced chorale repertoire, largely a cappella, around the Lehigh Valley. Recent appearances include the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, WFMZ morning show, Lehigh Valley Zoo and Lehigh Valley International Airport.

The Catasauqua Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., has a bag sale going on until April 21. Please stop in.
The shop will be closed April 23, 24 and 25 for cleaning and changing of clothes from winter to spring and summer. The shop will reopen April 26 with all new clothing.
Donations of gently used, clean clothing are accepted during store operation hours: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Proceeds are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.

Catasauqua American Legion, 330 Second St., will be having its next homemade breakfast buffet 8 a.m.-noon April 22.
The menu includes all-you-can-eat eggs, bacon, sausage links, SOS, home fries, French toast, juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
The public is invited.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., will be holding a basket raffle 4-8 p.m. April 27.
There will be more than 100 gift certificates, baskets and unique items.
Homemade scones will be available for purchase.
Basket winners will be drawn April 28 and will be notified by phone.
Proceeds will benefit the church’s project fund and Lutheran Disaster Relief, which supports hurricane, tornado, drought and flood reliefs.
Don’t forget about the chicken take-out dinner pickup 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. April 22.
Also, the Victorian High Tea will be held 2-4:30 p.m. April 28.

St. Mary’s Church, 122 Union St., will be holding a drive-thru chicken dinner 4:30-6:30 p.m. May 11.
This chicken dinner is fully prepared by Fairview House Catering, and tickets must be purchased in advance. No extra dinners are prepared.
Orders and payment are due no later than April 29.
The meal includes a half of a chicken, baked potato, coleslaw, corn on the cob and roll with butter.
Pickup is easy. Simply drive up to St. Mary’s parking lot on Union Street from Front Street, hand in your ticket and you’ll be given your dinner(s).
To purchase tickets, send a check, payable to St. Mary’s, for the number of dinners along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope, and your tickets will be sent to you.
