Networked recognized for innovation
Lehigh Valley Health Network was awarded the 2018 AMGA–Optum Award Innovation in Population Health 2018 during the American Medical Group Association’s annual conference recently in Phoenix, Ariz.
Populytics Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of LVHN and a regional population health management and analytics firm, spearheads the pioneering work for which LVHN won the award.
Working with LVHN for more than five years, Populytics uses its proprietary data analytics system to derive insights that positively impact quality of care, efficiency of resources, and care delivery at the multi-campus health system. The data has been instrumental in making measurable improvements at LVHN, and in creating higher quality and value for patients and medical providers. Walk with a Doc on Thursdays
St. Luke’s Walks with a Doc (with different physicians) will be held at 5:30 pm on Thursdays, at least until Thursday, Sept. 27, rain or shine, at the Anderson Campus trail.
Participants are able to walk at their own pace. There are rest/stop benches along the trail. Low impact walking engages many muscle groups all at once. By varying walking speed, walkers may easily get the heart rate variability that is needed to condition the heart.
