Although off to a slow start, daffodils and tulips are poking up through the snow to let us know an end to winter is on its way.

Jacob’s Church, New Tripoli, is having its annual pig stomach dinner from 4-7 p.m. April 7.

Meal includes pepper cabbage, applesauce and homemade desserts.

Eat in or take out will be available.

St. Peter’s Lynnville UCC, will host Holy Humor Sunday on April 8.

This will be a light hearted Sunday where the joy of Christ’s resurrection will be celebrated with laughter and church-appropriate jokes and fun.

The Teen Challenge Choir will be leading the worship service 9:30 a.m. April 29.

They will share their personal testimonies and joyful music with the congregation.

It’s sure to be an inspirational performance as they sing and testify to God’s transforming power.

There will be a potluck lunch following the service.

The clothing closet at Ebenezer UCC, New Tripoli, will be open 6-8 p.m. April 12 and 10 a.m. to noon April 14.

There is clothing for the entire family. Proof of need is not required.

Lynnport Fire Company, New Tripoli, is having a hoagie sale.

Orders are due no later than April 20. Pick up is May 2.

Italian, ham and cheese, turkey and tuna are available.

Help is needed to make the hoagies and volunteers are always welcome.
