Northampton: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4714 details April activities

Northampton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4714, 1204 Main St., has announced the following upcoming events.

• 10 p.m. April 6, karaoke with Crazy K

• 7:30 p.m. April 13, polka and button box

• 7 p.m. April 14, Tommy Zito

• 7:30 p.m. April 20, polka and button box

• 2 p.m. April 22, paint and create session

• 10 p.m. April 27, karaoke with Crazy K

Boy Scout Troop 93 will hold a spaghetti dinner 4-7 p.m. April 7 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 19th Street and Lincoln Avenue.

There is a cost. Children age 6 and under eat for free. Drinks, salad and ice cream are included.

Proceeds from the dinner benefit the troop.

Northampton Area Konkrete Kids Educational Foundation will hold an oldies dance April 7 at Northampton Banquet & Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave.

Doors open 5:45 p.m. A hot buffet will be served 6-7:30 p.m., followed by oldies doo wop music by Desire 7:30-10:30 p.m.

A basket raffle and 50/50 drawing will also be held.

Deadline to order tickets was March 31. They will not be sold at the door.

St. John’s Friendly Fifties group will meet 1 p.m. April 9 in the church’s social hall, 1343 Newport Ave.

Accordionist Fredrick Arnold will entertain.

The group is running a bus trip June 28 to see “Jesus” at Sight and Sound in Lancaster.

The cost also includes a meal at Fulton Steamboat.

Northampton AARP Chapter 3915 will meet noon April 11 at Northampton Banquet & Event Center.

Doors open 11 a.m. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided.

Local residents are invited to bring sensitive documents for shredding to Northampton Banquet & Event Center 10 a.m.-noon April 14.

Quota Club International of Northampton is sponsoring a women’s spring tea 1-4 p.m. April 29 at Weaversville Inn, 6916 Weaversville Road.

This event will include the luncheon, a silent auction and a fashion show presented by Dress Barn.

Proceeds will benefit the scholarship program for speech and hearing studies.
