Barbara F. (Snyder) Yakubecek, 85, of Whitehall, died March 20, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. She was the wife of Daniel Yakubecek.

Born in Bowmanstown, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Mildred (Snyder) Snyder.

She was a 1950 graduate of Palmerton High School.

She worked for 30 years for Lucent Technologies (formerly Western Electric).

She was a member and Sunday school teacher at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Egypt, for several decades.

She was the chairperson of the Pioneer Bridge Club. She volunteered at Lehigh Valley Hospital, where she was on the auxiliary board.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Robyn and her husband Shawn Hines of Center Valley; a grandson, Cameron; and a sister, Carol Trinkle of Bowmanstown.

She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
