Tennis remains unbeaten
The Whitehall boys tennis team is once again blazing a torrid trail though the early portion of their season.
With their 7-0 win over Easton on Monday, the Zephyrs move to 4-0 on the season. Last year they got out of the gate 6-0, while the previous season they posted a 5-0 mark at the start. This marks the third consecutive season that they’ve gone at least four matches without a loss.
Of their four wins, they have swept two of their opponents, demonstrating their strength throughout their lineup.
In Monday’s win over the Red Rovers, Jeremy Lim defeated Ethan Gabay in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0. Nick Rohn also won in straight sets at No. 2 singles, dismantling Neal Gilbert, 6-1, 6-0. At No. 3 singles, Nick Demjan took down Dominic Vincomi, 6-1, 6-2.
The Zephs continued their strong performance in the doubles matches. The No. 2 doubles tandem of Eduard Harrich and Erik Poon defeated Jake Cabreza and Kyle Dorner 6-1 6-0.
