James W. Thomas, 80, of Northampton, died March 16, 2018, at his home.
Born in Scranton, he was a son of the late James and Hannah (Griffiths) Thomas.
He was an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Navy from 1955-58 and spent time in Texas and Japan.
He was an electrician for Bethlehem Steel for more than 35 years before he retired in 1998.
He is survived by a daughter, Tricia and her husband Christopher Tatum of Bath, a son, James W. Thomas and his fiancée, Carla Arbushites of Bath; longtime companion, Eileen Weinstein of Mantua, N.J.; a sister, Lois Berlau of Baltimore, Md.; three grandchildren, Madison, Parker and Jonathan; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by a grandson.
