Florian Edwin Geider
Florian Edwin Geider, 85, died March 20, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospice. He was the husband of Janice Black Armbuster Geider for 47 years.
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Florian and Rose (Marth) Geider.
He was a 1950 Central Catholic High School graduate and a 1952 graduate of the Allentown Business College.
He was employed by L.F. Grammes and Air Products, with whom he spent a year and a half in Gioia del Colle, Italy. He was also an office manager for Pet Milk and then went on to work in the sales of pre-engineered buildings for Wickes, Morton and Umbaugh Pole Building companies for 20 years until he retired in 1999.
He was a lifelong member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay, where he was on the choir for 30 years.
He was a life member of the Coplay Saengerbund where he sang for 30 years. A grower of prize-winning chrysanthemums, he was a member and a past president of the Nazareth Chrysanthemum Club. He was a master gardener emeritus with the Penn State Master Gardener Extension Center program.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Lee and his wife Karol Armbuster, Lynn Armbuster and companion Mary, Kevin and his wife Robin Armbuster and Adam and his wife Suzanne Armbuster; three nieces, Carol and her husband Mike Illari, Donna and her husband Rudy Zastko and Lisa and her husband John Rayden; a nephew, Florian Fodor; eight grandchildren, Nathan, Travis, Chad, Joshua, Amanda, Jessica, Alec and Douglas; and eight great-grandchildren, Adrielle, Ethan, Ashton, Jane, Dylan, Brody, Caroline and Charlotte.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Fodor and Rose Vamos.
