Audrey E. Heil, 77, of North Catasauqua, died at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, March 13, 2018. She was the wife of Latta “Sonny” Heil of North Catasauqua.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late James and Evelyn (Pell) Bixler.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Catasauqua, where she sang in the church choir, taught Sunday school and was on the church council.

She was a bus driver for the Catasauqua Area School District for many years.

She received the Northampton County Area Agency on Aging’s Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Service with Seniors, signed by Sen. Pat Toomey. She was member of the Catasauqua Women’s Club. She coordinated bus trips with the Cherryville Senior Center. She was earlier a Brownie, Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Lester and his wife Connie Washburn; two daughters, Debra and her husband Marty Mittura and Diane Smith; three stepchildren; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and extended family.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Scottie; and a brother, Jerome.
