Hokendauqua: Resident is honored
Barbara R. Quigg, a lifelong resident of Hokendauqua, was honored March 4 for 60-plus years of dedicated service to First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua.
Quigg taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and was a deacon and an elder. She was also very involved with the Presbyterian Women’s Association.
A citation of honor was presented to Quigg by state Rep. Jeanne McNeill, D-133rd. Gifts from the congregation were also given to her.
Members of the church say Quigg has touched the lives of all her students and is a truly beloved member of the church family.
