David E. Frederick, 88, of New Tripoli, died March 12, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He and his wife Mildred E. (Muthard) Frederick were married 59 years last Dec. 27.

Born July 26, 1929, in Germansville, he was the son of the late Harvey E. and Carrie (Metzger) Frederick.

He was caretaker of Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown, and Arlington Memorial Park, Whitehall, for 35 years before retiring.

A 50-year volunteer at the Goodwill Fire Co. No. 1, Germansville, he was a lifelong member of Lehigh Furnace Sunday School.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Barbara A. Heil (Daniel) of Orefield, Mary Lou Heil (Richard) of Kempton; grandchildren Katelyn Malone (Dominic), Josh Heil (Louise), Lauren Wisser (Matthew), Jennah Heil; great-grandchildren Shayna Morales, Blaze Heil and Ava Malone; predeceased by siblings, Hilda, Catherine, and LeRoy.
