The 2018 Boutique at the Rink cancer support fund raiser has scheduled two volunteer information sessions on Wednesday, April 4 at a new location, First Presbyterian Church, 2344 Center Street in Bethlehem. At two sessions scheduled at 2:30 PM and 6:30, policies, procedures and dates will be reviewed.
The Boutique at the Rink is held at the City of Bethlehem’s Earl Schaffer Municipal Ice Rink on Illick’s Mill Road. Donations of new and gently used clothing, household items, vintage items, toys, collectibles, jewelry, sporting goods and boutique clothing will be accepted beginning April 30 until May 18 Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m., and Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
In 2017 approximately 300 hundred volunteers sorted, displayed and sold donations raising enough to distribute $246,000 to support the Cancer Support Community, St. Luke’s Cancer Center and St. Luke’s Hospice.
Co-chairs for this year’s event are Karen Hein and Sharon Kunsman.
