Audrey E. Heil, 77, of North Catasauqua, died March 13, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. She was the wife of Latta “Sonny” Heil of North Catasauqua.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late James and Evelyn (Pell) Bixler.
She was a bus driver for the Catasauqua Area School District.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Catasauqua, where she sang with the church choir, taught Sunday School and served on the church council.
She received a Northampton County Area Agency on Aging Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Service with Seniors signed by Sen. Pat Toomey. She coordinated bus trips with the Cherryville Senior Center. She was a Brownie, Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader. She was a member of the Catasauqua Women’s Club.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Lester and his wife Connie Washburn; two daughters, Debra and her husband Marty Mittura and Diane Smith; three step children; five grandchildren; three step grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and extended family.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Scottie; and a brother, Jerome.
There will be a viewing will be from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., followed by funeral services at 12:30 p.m., both on March 17 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Road, Catasauqua, 18032.
