Saquon Barkley Day set for March 24

The Borough of Coplay is proud to announce Saquon Barkley Day to be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018.

The presenting sponsor of the day is St. Luke’s University Health Network, the official sports medicine provider of the Whitehall-Coplay School District.

The festivities will begin with a parade down Chestnut Street in Coplay.

The parade will begin at 12 p.m. at the intersection of 9th Street and Chestnut Street and proceed east on Chestnut Street, making a left on Second Street, and culminating at Saylor Park.

Following the parade, there will be a ceremony honoring Saquon for his accomplishments beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the Saylor Park Pavilion. The ceremony will include guest speakers and remarks from Saquon Barkley. Following the ceremony there will be live music by A Few Good Men, food, and beverages.

Commemorative t-shirts will be available at the event for $15 and will be available in limited quantities and sizes.

Barkley had a record breaking career at both Whitehall High School, where he was named Pennsylvania’s Mr. Football, and at Penn State, where he earned numerous All-America accolades. He is expected to be drafted high in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft.

The Borough of Coplay is very proud to honor Saquon for his outstanding accomplishments and contributions.
