As a way to give back to the community, the Deutsch Eck Restaurant, 87 Penn St., Lenhartsville, has organized a Plate It Forward campaign.

During March, the recipient of this fundraiser will be the Northwestern Lehigh Snack Pack Program.

When a customer orders any Pennsylvania Dutch special throughout the month, $1 from each special will be donated to the recipient.

On March 15, the meal will be chicken potpie; March 21-23 will be chicken and waffles; and March 28-30, the meal will be pig stomach.

What a great way to enjoy a night out and support students in the school district.

There will be a spaghetti dinner fundraiser 4-6 p.m. March 18 at DiMarco’s Family Restaurant, 10240 Old Route 22, Kutztown.

Profits from the dinner will be donated to the Northwestern softball team.
