Artists change board room exhibit

Christina Fogel, art instructor, was accompanied by middle school artists, who held a mini reception for the new artwork on display in the Northwestern Lehigh School Board meeting room.

She said the board members must realize how amazing the young artists are.

Fogel said they are not only artists but planners, designers, editors, critical thinkers, problem solvers, innovators, creators and leaders.

In the art room there is much more going on than practicing and refining techniques, Fogel said. She recognized the students for their effort, growth, mindset, persistence and steadfast eye on their goals.

With each project students are tasked with planning, designing, revising, creating and producing works that are meaningful at a personal level as well as purposeful in their education and emotional growth.

Fogel said it is her pleasure to guide students in this process and to do so with art as the vehicle.

The presentation included a short video.

A large card dedicated to the entire board said there is no SUCCESS without “U.”

Fogel thanked the families for bringing the artists to the school.
