Donald R. Anthony, 89, of Allentown and formerly of Northampton, died March 7, 2018, at Whitehall Manor. He was the husband of Florence M. (Morrissey) Anthony for 57 years.

Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late John P. and Mildred E. (Sherer) Anthony.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War in the 623rd Field Artillery Battalion. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal.

A member of Teamsters Local 773, he was a long distance truck driver at the former Exide Battery, retiring in 1994.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jeffrey M. and his wife Mary Ann of Allentown; and a daughter, Susan H. and her fiance, Frank S. Trent of Ogden, Utah.
